Washing Instructions
Spot cleaning is recommended. Because of the embroidery and appliques, machine washing is not recommended. If the entire carrier is soiled, handwash with a mild detergent and air dry. Do NOT dry the carrier in the dryer. All fabrics are washed prior to being sewn with, but it is always possible that straps still have excess dye. Therefore, particularly in cases where a light fabric is next to a dark strap, use caution when washing these areas to avoid dye bleeding. This shouldn't happen as I make sure the water is clear when washing or hand-dyeing, but please use caution when washing the carrier the first few times.
If you do intend to machine wash the carrier, I suggest you wash it inside a pillowcase to avoid the straps tangling, etc.

Important information
Please remember that the safety of your baby is your responsibility. If you are not familiar with mei tais, please exercise caution when first using your carrier. Stand over a bed, couch or other soft surface until you feel more comfortable. It also might be helpful to have someone help you the first few times. I have provided wearing instructions in the links section at the top of this page.
